Gym Sportsbar

(79 Ratings)
A genuine sports bar in the heart of Chelsea

If the real gym's too crowded, leave your manly Daisy Dukes and tank on and grab a beer with the other gym bunnies. You'll never miss the game at this Chelsea favorite (in every sense of the word).

Not for me

I understand that the phrase "to each his own" exists. However, this place isn't my own. Speaking of "Gym," I think I saw my middle school gym teacher's doppleganger making out on the couch at this bar. Did I mention he was pushing 40, was frequently unshaven, and dressed like an overweight Met's fan circa 1982? Anyway, if that's your thing, I'm sure this place would suffice.

I am glad that i found this bar

My friends and i went to this bar , we watch the super bowl, and we keep going back. It gets realy crowded to which i am now happy that added another floor of advancer.

A tad snooty but nice

A nice, attractive bar with mostly men of mixed ages, generally younger. Friendly bartenders. Very packed on weekends and not a bad crowd on weeknights as well. Been here a few times and I have to say that the younger guys here can sometimes be a little snooty. Mature men should probably go with a buddy.

Laid back place

I'm no bar expert, but I felt genuinely comfortable at this place. Crowded near the bar, of course, but plenty of room to spread out towards the pool table in the back. Crowd (almost all guys the night I went) seemed friendly and was good-looking. And there was definitely a big mix in age groups. I'm 23, but didn't feel out of place. No cover charge, which is always a plus.

Ok.. They're winning me over

I have to say, the first few times I went to the Gym I was not impressed. They have definitely improved the music and lighting. The crowd has definitely improved, also. A good time can be had at the Gym. I still find the "Smoker's Corral" out front funny..
