The original brick oven pizza
John's Pizzeria is the place to go if you're craving a pie. Take note they do not do slices! John's is a popular local favorite, famous for it's whole pies of incredible flavor and classic location. Open since 1929, cash only, no frills...just damn good pizza.

The best

If you only go to one pizzeria in Manhattan, it should be this one. Terrific thin-crust pizza--get one with lots of toppings--and a very fresh salad which easily feeds two. Woody Allen's favorite.

Best pizza in NY

Every time I travel to NY, John's on Bleecker is on my to-do list at least twice. I've been going since I was a kid so I'm sure nostalgia has some hand, but it really is the best. I suggest keeping it simple (cheese pie and a pitcher), and don't even think about not chomping down that last slice. My boyfriend even carved our names in one of the booths :)
